Main duties of the job
Sheffield Walk-in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to predominantly manage minor illness presentations across all age groups, including paediatrics. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role within a supportive, clinically led environment.

Job description Job responsibilities
Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills Identify red flags and escalate appropriately in line with clinical governance Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork
Working Pattern
7-day rolling rota Service operating hours: 08:0022:30

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or or Relevant ACP courses at Level 7 including recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills (essential), Minor Illness/Injuries, Disease Management, etc. Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) Current NMC registration with no restrictions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Essential
Excellent communication skills
Experience Essential
Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care Confident, autonomous management of minor illness
