Job summary
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor/Dentist in Oral Surgery based at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.
This is a cross-site role, with clinical activity also delivered at Worthing Hospital and potentially at Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Working alongside six Consultant colleagues, you will contribute to a high-quality oral surgery service for patients across West Sussex and surrounding areas. Duties include outpatient clinics, minor oral surgery under local anaesthesia, assisting Consultant operating lists, and participation in the on-call service.
You will manage a broad range of oral and maxillofacial presentations within a supportive, Consultant-led and clinically governed environment.
We are looking for motivated clinicians with relevant experience in oral surgery/OMFS, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to high standards of patient care.

Main duties of the job
Dedicated Maxillofacial Outpatient facilities are available in both Chichester and Worthing with access to full Radiology (including Cone Beam CT), Histology and Cytology services. We have 2 Trios Intra-oral scanners and a business case is currently being considered for 3D printing, to start the process towards digital workflow with the in-house maxillofacial laboratory.
In-patient activity is centred in Chichester in a recently built Treatment Centre, with additional operating facilities in both Worthing and Southlands. There is a separate well equipped Day Case Unit in Chichester.
We have five very experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialty Coordinators/secretaries who provide excellent administrative support and first line contact with patients
