Job summary
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Psychosexual Therapists to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, primarily delivered remotely. However, you are expected to be able to provide face-to-face sessions (subject to clinic room availability) in Kent, The service currently operates in multiple locationsacross Kent, including Ashford, Canterbury, Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Margate.
About the Service:Our Psychosexual Therapy Service offers time-limited, structured therapy to individuals and couplesexperiencing sexual difficulties, as well as those with concerns around sexuality or gender. We work across arange of delivery modes, with an emphasis on solution-focused therapy.
Main duties of the job
As a Psychosexual Therapist, you'll be responsible for:
Managing a complex caseload independently, including assessing and delivering brief therapy Working with interpreters or advocates where necessary Safeguarding adults and children through appropriate risk management Contributing to service development and evaluation Maintaining accurate records in line with governance standards About YouTo apply, you should have:
A postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy (validated by COSRT or IPM) COSRT accreditation, or be actively working towards it A minimum of 200 hours of supervised clinical practice Experience in delivering brief, time-limited psychotherapy Knowledge of psychosexual therapeutic approaches, sexual health, gender, and sexuality Excellent verbal and written communication skills You must be registered with a professional body and adhere to its code of conduct. A full UK driving licence andthe ability to travel (if face-to-face work is agreed) is required.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Training and Experience Essential
Postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy COSRT accreditation or being able to demonstrate you are working towards accreditation. You will also have over 200 hours of supervised clinical psychotherapy practice and experiences of offering brief time limited psychotherapy interventions
Knowledge & Skills Essential
You'll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing, including the capacity to impart clinically sensitive and technical information to a range of recipients You will have specialist knowledge of therapeutic techniques through substantial training in the assessment and psychological treatment of trauma You will have up-to-date knowledge of research-based treatments in the field of psychological therapy You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases
Desirable
Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
Personal Attributes Essential
oA full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country)
