About this role

As a Credit Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing credit-related activities, including loan processing, credit analysis, and risk assessment. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our back-office functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

• Manage and oversee credit operations, including loan applications, credit approvals, and post-approval processes. • Conduct thorough credit analyses and risk assessments to ensure sound lending decisions. • Review and evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess creditworthiness. • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all credit-related activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures. • Monitor and analyze credit trends, market conditions, and industry best practices to stay updated on emerging risks and opportunities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with timely and accurate information regarding their credit status. • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to credit, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions. • Assist in the development and implementation of credit scoring models and credit risk management strategies. • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure that the company's credit practices remain compliant.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit-related role, preferably in the BFSI industry. • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial statement analysis. • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. • Proficiency in using credit scoring models and credit risk management tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound credit decisions. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in credit-related documentation. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
