The Role As a Senior Field Service Technician , you’ll operate independently in a company-provided service van, delivering advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across customer sites. You’ll also serve as a technical leader — mentoring junior technicians, setting quality standards, and helping drive operational excellence in the field. This is not an entry-level role. Field Service & Territory Ownership Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van Support warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments Advanced Diagnostics & Equipment Expertise Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems Execute first-time-right repairs Perform inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards Leadership & Mentorship Train and support junior technicians Share technical knowledge and best practices Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and workmanship Customer Communication & Documentation Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards
