About this role
A Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar environment. Beverage Preparation & Mixology: Crafting cocktails, pouring wine and beer, and preparing non-alcoholic drinks according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Guest Service & Hospitality: Welcoming guests warmly, taking food and drink orders, answering questions about the menu, making recommendations, and building rapport with regulars. Bar Operations & Maintenance: Setting up and breaking down the bar station. This includes washing and sanitizing glassware, wiping down counters, and prepping garnishes, ice, and mixers. Financial Transactions: Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, processing cash, credit card, and mobile payments, splitting checks accurately, and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift. Inventory & Restocking: Monitoring liquor, beer, wine, and supply levels throughout the shift, restocking shelves and coolers, and reporting low inventory to management. Responsible Alcohol Service: Checking guest IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age, monitoring guest intoxication levels, and safely cutting off service when necessary.
