As a Peer Specialist, you’ll use your lived experience with behavioral health or substance use recovery to inspire hope, support growth, and walk alongside individuals as they build the life they want. Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies Support individuals in building confidence, resilience, and community connections Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems Help individuals recognize and build on their own strengths Participate as a valued member of the treatment team Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified)
