What You’ll Own
Close-to-Board: Run GAAP monthly closes, multi-entity consolidations, and variance analysis; deliver investor-ready reporting packs on a 5-day timetable. Revenue & Margin Integrity: Oversee gross-margin tracking for placement, EOR, and pass-through billings; ensure accurate revenue recognition and direct-labor costing. Systems & Controls: Expert in QuickBooks, automate Stripe/HubSpot billing flows, and expert across AP, AR, payroll, and global taxes. Strategic Finance: Build 13-week cash-flow forecasts, price-model scenarios, and ad-hoc diligence for M&A or credit facilities; advise founders on capital allocation. Team Leadership: Mentor a lean, distributed accounting team; set KPIs, streamline workflows, and foster a “close it once, close it right” culture. Requirements
6+ years as a Controller or Senior Accountant within staffing, recruiting, organizations (multi-currency and high-volume payroll a must). Deep command of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition for staffing contracts, and indirect tax compliance across states and international entities. Systems athlete: NetSuite (or similar ERP), QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, Excel/Google Sheets; bonus for SQL/Looker chops. Proven record standing up internal controls, shortening close cycles, and guiding finance through rapid headcount scale-ups. CPA or equivalent strongly preferred; Big-4 grounding a plus.
