Salary: £66,000 - 71,000 per year
Requirements: Extensive SAP development experience, with a heavy focus on advanced ABAP programming and experience in at least 2 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.Strong working knowledge of the SAP Activate Methodology, with relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA ABAP Development or SAP BTP preferred.Proven hands-on experience building on-stack and side-by-side extensions using modern S/4HANA architecture guidelines.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical code logic into clear, high-value process choices for functional leads and client teams.A valid passport and the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required to support project development sprints, integration testing phases, and client alignment sessions.A proven aptitude for mentoring junior developers and confidently defending technical designs in front of client technical teams. Responsibilities: Lead the hands-on development of advanced ABAP components, including RESTful Application Programming (RAP), Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF), Core Data Services (CDS) Views, OData services, and complex workflow engines.Assist the presales capability by developing standard extension proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and system demonstrations within Private and Public Cloud environments.Execute development tasks in strict alignment with the latest SAP offerings, utilising SAP Activate templates and logging code readiness via Cloud ALM.Review Technical Design Documents (TDDs) against functional specifications to ensure custom components map cleanly to business workflows.Support the design and delivery of internal technical training, developer hackathons, and knowledge-sharing workshops focused on modern S/4HANA programming models.Conduct deep-dive code reviews, performance optimisations, and automated testing via the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) to ensure stable deployment.
