Requirements: Strong Microsoft Azure administration experience.Hands-on experience with Azure Arc and Azure Monitor Agent (AMA).Experience deploying and supporting XDR/EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cortex XDR or similar.Windows Server and Linux administration experience.Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and networking fundamentals.PowerShell and/or Bash scripting experience.Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and infrastructure monitoring.Desirable: Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.Desirable: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Intune or SCCM.Desirable: Experience working within large enterprise environments. Responsibilities: Deploy and support Azure Arc-enabled servers across Windows and Linux.Install, configure and troubleshoot Azure Monitor Agent (AMA).Deploy, upgrade and maintain XDR/EDR security agents across enterprise environments.Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and security using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching and security hardening.Support Azure networking, hybrid cloud services and infrastructure automation using PowerShell and Bash.Troubleshoot infrastructure, monitoring and endpoint security issues while driving continuous improvement. We are a highly reputable government-backed organisation hiring a DV-cleared Platform Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale hybrid infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments. This is a 6-month contract based in Milton Keynes or London, working onsite 3 days per week, with a rate of up to £630 per day inside IR35. You will work closely with our Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams to improve platform visibility, security and operational resilience across business-critical services.
