Requirements: Current DV Clearance is essential.Proven experience as a Network Architect within defence, government, or other highly secure enterprise environments.Strong technical expertise in BGP.Strong technical expertise in EVPN-VXLAN.Strong technical expertise in Software Defined Networking (SDN).Strong technical expertise in enterprise WAN architecture and design.Experience designing modern data centre network architectures.Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles and network security best practices.Ability to produce detailed architecture documentation, HLDs, and LLDs.Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or digital transformation programmes.Desirable: previous experience delivering network solutions within the MOD or wider UK Government.Desirable: experience working on complex, mission-critical programmes. Responsibilities: Design secure, resilient network architectures for enterprise and defence environments.Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and supporting technical documentation.Lead architecture decisions across data centre, campus, and WAN environments.Provide technical governance and architectural assurance throughout the project lifecycle.Work closely with engineering and security teams to ensure successful implementation.Support the optimisation and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures. We are recruiting for an experienced DV Cleared Network Architect to join a major MOD programme delivering highly secure, mission-critical network infrastructure. This is a long-term 15+ month contract, outside IR35, offering £650-£750 per day and on-site work in Hampshire. You will have the opportunity to shape complex network architectures within one of the UKs most technically challenging environments, working alongside engineering, security, and delivery teams to support large-scale digital transformation.
