Requirements: Significant experience providing high-quality, insightful analysis to drive the business.Significant experience working with data across Underwriting, Claims, and Finance within the London Market.Experience with SQL and related products.Understanding of data structures, including multi-dimensional data models and Kimball methodology, and experience extracting and using data to support key strategic decisions.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel.Financial services background with experience or knowledge of specialty insurance. Responsibilities: Document, develop, and communicate data and MI processes and solutions, working closely with Underwriting, Finance, FP&A, and business teams across the group.Use data and MI to provide proactive analysis that improves data integrity and business performance.Support data-focused projects across the business, including data migrations, systems upgrades, and broader data solutions.Support existing BAU/KLO product group activity.Develop knowledge and expertise in modern cloud data warehousing approaches, architectures, and technologies.Work closely with the business to ensure processes are well understood and associated data and reporting are documented and defined.Analyse data-related requirements and issues, providing options and specifications to support resolution.Identify data and reporting anomalies and provide insightful analysis for management attention.Build strong relationships with the business to develop a deep understanding of business processes, data, and data definitions, challenging these where required.Understand business performance drivers, identify trends and opportunities or remedial actions, and influence the implementation of initiatives to address them.Help develop effective analytics tools and associated datasets to support commentary and analysis requirements.Ensure all interactions and engagements are carried out to the highest ethical and professional standards and in line with company values.Continuously enhance data, MI, and analytics to drive business performance.Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by line management. We are a leading and growing London Market insurance business seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to report to our Head of Data. This role will help shape and support strategic projects while assisting with ownership and management of key areas of our data warehouse and supporting existing BAU data needs. You will work closely with teams across the group, including Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and FP&A, and be encouraged to deepen your expertise in modern cloud data warehousing.
