Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements: We need strong hands-on experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including IaaS, networking, security and monitoring.We need excellent knowledge of identity and access management using Active Directory and Entra ID.We need experience administering Microsoft 365 and managing modern endpoints through Intune.We need a solid understanding of security best practice, particularly Conditional Access, Zero Trust and Microsoft Defender.We need experience operating in hybrid environments.We need a good working knowledge of backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.We need core networking knowledge, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls and secure connectivity.PowerShell or automation skills would be advantageous.Experience supporting high availability and performance optimisation in cloud platforms would be beneficial.Strong communication skills are important.Experience operating at second or third line support level within an enterprise environment is important.Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-500 would be beneficial.Exposure to cloud migration programmes, infrastructure modernisation and security or compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials would be beneficial. Responsibilities: We design, implement and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and related cloud services.We contribute to cloud and hybrid architecture development, ensuring systems remain secure, available and scalable.We administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.We own modern endpoint management through Microsoft Intune, including Autopilot, compliance policies and device configuration.We support hybrid identity across Active Directory and Entra ID, applying Conditional Access and Zero Trust principles.We play an active role in cloud migration and service modernisation initiatives.We focus on security, including patching, vulnerability remediation, Microsoft Defender tooling and investigation and resolution of cloud and identity related security incidents.We contribute to backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.We monitor platform performance and resilience.We manage certificates and domains.We work closely with third party suppliers where required.We produce clear technical documentation.We contribute to infrastructure standards and policies.We provide senior level support for complex infrastructure issues. This is a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer role focused on Azure, Microsoft 365 and identity platforms, offering a collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on modern technology, security and continuous improvement.
