Salary: £80,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements: Strong software engineering skills with depth in at least one language and a clear point of view on stacks, tooling, and trade-offs.Experience with Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, or Go.Solid hands-on experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines.Experience running containerised workloads in production.Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as CloudFormation/CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.Confidence building pipelines that hold up under real production load.Track record of building tooling or automation that other engineers rely on day to day.Strong communication skills.Desirable: AWS experience, GitHub Actions, hands-on continuous release, progressive delivery, or production observability. Responsibilities: Design and build internal tooling, templates, and scaffolding that make the right way the easy way for engineering teams across the business.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that are robust, fast, and production-ready.Reduce friction for every team that depends on the pipelines.Treat developer experience as a product by gathering feedback from engineers, identifying pain points, and iterating toward solutions that deliver measurable value.Own test architecture by defining and embedding standards for unit, integration, and contract testing across the platform.Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to surface ideas, take on feedback, and shape the direction of the platform engineering function.
