About this role

Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements: Strong experience in C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecturesExperience integrating or working with surveillance cameras, radio systems or RDF, radar, AIS, or similar telemetry sourcesComfortable working with hardware interfaces and imperfect or undocumented APIsExperience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or similarExperience with containerisation, including DockerExperience with Linux-based deploymentsUnderstanding of performance, scaling, and resilience challengesDesirable: experience in maritime, defence, or surveillance domainsDesirable: familiarity with video processing pipelinesDesirable: experience working in air-gapped or high-security environments Responsibilities: Design, develop, and integrate sensor capabilities within our Marine Domain Awareness platformIngest, control, and process data from coastal surveillance cameras, radio direction finders, radar, AIS, and other maritime sensorsExpose sensor data in a consistent, operationally robust format for downstream systemsIntegrate, calibrate, and optimise fixed and mobile surveillance systems in non-production environmentsBuild the software that makes sensor outputs usable for downstream systemsTrain our Delivery Team for field deploymentDevelop integrations with maritime sensors including PTZ, thermal, EO/IR cameras, RDF, radar, and AIS data sourcesImplement control interfaces such as PTZ, presets, and tracking handoffWork with proprietary and undocumented APIs where requiredBuild robust services using C# and .NETDevelop APIs and services for downstream consumersOptimise for performance, reliability, and low-latency processingWork within distributed, containerised environmentsIntegrate with message brokers, microservices, and existing platform componentsSupport deployments in on-premises and air-gapped environmentsWork closely with colleagues across software, hardware, data science, and infrastructureContribute to sensor fusion, AI-assisted analysis, anomaly detection, augmented reality, autonomous sentry operation, and evidence collection Technologies: AIC#DockerHardwareSupportLinuxMobilePLCRDFRabbitMQSecuritySensor FusionSentrymicroservicesASP.NETBackend More:
