Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced data science leader with a strong background in data science, machine learning or security analytics.We need experience leading, developing and growing high-performing technical teams.We need a track record of delivering AI, machine learning or analytics solutions into production.We need strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.We need experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.We need the ability to shape strategy and drive delivery within a large, complex organisation.We value knowledge of modern AI approaches, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, observability and evaluation.Experience in cyber security, fraud analytics, behavioural analytics or threat detection would be particularly valuable.DV clearance is required for this role, and applicants must either hold DV clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process. Responsibilities: We will have you set the direction for Security Data Science across DWP, shaping how data science and AI support our cyber security objectives.We will have you lead a team of talented data scientists and analysts, developing capability, setting clear standards and creating an environment for the team to thrive.We will have you work closely with senior stakeholders across cyber security, digital and policy teams to identify where data science can deliver the greatest impact.We will have you ensure the teams work contributes directly to our organisational objectives.We will have you provide oversight and guidance across machine learning, AI and analytics initiatives.We will have you help ensure solutions are effective, scalable and deliver real value from early discovery through to deployment and continuous improvement.
