Salary: £37,000 - 67,000 per year
Requirements: We require 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, ideally within a manufacturing environment.We require strong programming skills in C and C++; C# knowledge is beneficial.We require experience with microcontroller architectures such as ARM and Atmel.We require knowledge of communication protocols including USB, TCP/IP, UART, I2C, SPI, and Bluetooth LE or other wireless technologies.We require experience working with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.We require familiarity with Git or other source control tools.We require strong problem-solving and debugging skills.We require a Bachelors degree in embedded systems development or equivalent. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware.We develop embedded software in C and C++, with some C# where required.We write low-level firmware, including drivers, peripherals, and communication interfaces.We support board bring-up and hardware/software integration.We carry out unit, integration, and system-level testing.We debug and resolve complex hardware/software issues.We contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.We produce clear technical documentation and follow best practice standards. We are an established international manufacturing business based in Newhaven, and we are looking to add an experienced Embedded Systems Developer to our Software Engineering team. This is a hands-on, full product lifecycle role working on real-world hardware-based products, with close collaboration across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams. The position is full time and permanent, based in Newhaven, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
