About this role
We are looking for a flexible and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) Floater to join our team and support adults with developmental disabilities in our Adult Activity Center. This position rotates across three core areas: Classroom, Vocational Habilitation (Production), and Adult Day Services. No two days are the same—you’ll be part of a team that helps individuals participate in their community, and thrive in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
As a DSP Floater, your responsibilities will include:
✅ General Support
• Provide supervision, instruction and support to ensure health and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow individual service plans
• Plan community outings and accompany group
✅ Classroom Setting
• Plan and implement activities according to individual interests and preferences
• May assist with personal care and feeding
• Administer medication and first aid under the direction of a SAW, Inc. nurse
• Assist with classroom routines and encourage skill-building
• Collaborate with team members to meet individuals’ goals
✅ Vocational Habilitation (Production Area)
• Coach individuals through piecework and job-readiness tasks
• Promote work habits like punctuality and task completion
• Monitor quality and offer encouragement towards goals
✅ Adult Day Services (Activities)
• Facilitate recreational activities, crafts, games, and community outings
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive social interaction
• May need to assist with personal care and medication administration
• Ensure participant safety during all events and outings
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the agency’s insurance company.
• Must have reliable transportation with the ability to arrive to work on time every day.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience working with the DD population is a plus.

• Monday through Friday, 8:45a.m. - 4:15p.m.
