About this role

Job summary

This role is based at Regent Court within the Finance Department near Five Ways, Birmingham, B15 1NU.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the Trust's Purchase Ledger Department.

The successful candidate will join a busy team responsible for processing supplier payments within agreed timeframes, reconciling statements and dealing with telephone and e-mail enquiries.

The post holder will be required to communicate directly with suppliers and Trust staff on a regular basis to investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working within a busy accounts payable environment involving speed and accuracy and a strong customer focus.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a high level of numeracy, good IT literacy and a professional, proactive, flexible approach to work.

Experience of planning and achieving tasks to tight deadlines will also be required.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including numeracy and literacy

Experience Essential

Computerised Accounts Payable Experience, Reconciliation Skills, PC Skills, Prioritising Tasks and Excellent Time Management Accounts Payable processes and procedures, a knowledge of the NHS

Desirable

ECDL, Knowledge of Sage 1000, Windows XP -- Excel, Word & Access - Softology

Additional Criteria Essential

Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadline. Able to work with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work as a team member. Accurate and fast worker. Reliable, punctual, pro-active approach. Self-motivated and use of initiative.
