Provide engineering support for internal and external needs.</p> <p>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>· Work on product design and development activities.</p> <p>· Develop innovative and cost effective mechanical designs using plant standard procedures, engineering knowledge and experience.</p> <p>· Work with team and technical leads to build concept designs & develop final design for NPD & VA/VE programs.</p> <p>· Do design calculations, design reviews, develop test plans & execute product validation tests in test lab with the help of testing team</p> <p>· Perform related engineering calculations by using the Mathcad.</p> <p>· Work with designer and manufacturing engineers, follow the manufacturing and assembling process, employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered. </p> <p>· Create & Review of 3D models, assemblies, drawings and BOM</p> <p>· Teamcenter Knowledge added Advantage</p> <p>· Work independently or as a team member in the global engineering team</p> <p>· Interact with global engineering teams on technical and project management activities</p> <p>· Liaise with production plant during build process</p> <p>· Engineering change management with internal departments</p> <p>· Responsible for quality, OTD and efficiency on design and drawing outputs</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">You are meant for this job if:</H2> </div><div><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <p>· BE degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of related working experience</p> <p>· A thorough knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, vibration, strength of material, metallurgy, ASME , API codes, and manufacturing processes.</p> <p>· Design knowledge in Gate Valves & Choke Valve will carry weightage.</p> <p>· Ability to design and generate creative mechanical solutions; translate concepts and information into images; apply design principles, solve practical problems</p> <p>· Familiar with industry specifications such as API 6D,API 17D ASME Section VIII, etc. and able to interpret and apply as required</p> <p>· Knowledge of GD&T is essential.</p> <p>· Basic knowledge of FEA</p> <p>· Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas</p> <p>· Able to work responsibly without close supervision individually or in team environment</p> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Adaptability Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.</li> <li>Building Customer Loyalty Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.</li> <li>Communication Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions.
