The MPDE Manager will lead a team of process development engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for high-speed cable assemblies and coordinating with the Dongguan manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <p>1. Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.</p> <ul> <li>Lead a team of engineers who will:</li> </ul> <ul> <li style="list-style:none"> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Develop high speed cable assembly manufacturing process in accordance with LEANPD product development</li> <li>Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods</li> <li>Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control</li> <li>Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.</li> <li>Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE Data and Devices quality and production standards.</li> <li>Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.</li> <li>Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs</li> <li>Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need</li> <li>Work with Dongguan operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new product development</li> <li>Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organization</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>1. Bachelor or above degree with mechanical/electric related majors.</p> <p>2. At least 5 years’ related managerial level experience in multinational manufacturing site.</p> <p>3. Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools.</p> <p>4. With 2 years or above work experience in cable assembly industry is preferred.</p> <p>5. Fluent in English and good presentation skills.</p> <p>6. Familiar with MS software.</p> <p>7.
