We are looking for a motivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our friendly and patient-focused GP practice. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, accessible primary care.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting independent clinical assessments and examinations Diagnosing and managing acute and long-term conditions Developing and reviewing patient care plans Prescribing and advising on appropriate treatments (where qualified) Providing health promotion and preventative care advice Working closely with GPs, nurses, and wider healthcare professionals

Job Purpose

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) provides autonomous, evidence-based clinical care to patients by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic health conditions. The ANP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while exercising independent clinical judgment within their scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage patients Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests and investigations. Independently prescribe medications (where qualified) and review treatment plans. Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate. Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research. Support clinical governance and ensure compliance with professional standards. Essential Qualifications

Registered Nurse (NMC registration). Independent Prescribing qualification (V300). Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD). Essential Skills

Advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Clinical decision-making and problem-solving. Independent prescribing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safeguarding, infection prevention, and clinical governance.
