Job summary

North Liverpool Primary Care Network would like to recruit a Nurse Associate to work with our current Womens health service and care home team.

This is an exciting role and under North Liverpool Network as apart of this role you will be fully supported by our frailty lead nurse and womens health general practitioner.

Main duties of the job

We expect that you will be able to work independently under the supervision of our practice nurse and manage your own workload. You will need excellent communication skills, be able to meet targets and to be able to liaise with patients, primary care staff and other partners.

The post holder will have successfully fully completed the 2-year Trainee Nursing Associate training programme, which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualifications and NMC registration.

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work within the primary care nursing team and other members of the multi professional team, providing and monitoring care and contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with the supervising clinician(s) and in line with the service pathways. They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi professional team.

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nursing Associate on NMC register Nursing Associate Foundation Degree/ Apprenticeship qualification at academic level 5. Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs seeking advice where appropriate Able to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development Able to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and well-being (Making Every Contact Count) Understanding of evidence based practice Able to evaluate, act upon & report appropriately a range of clinical values when recording patients vital signs Evidence of involvement in supporting & developing less experienced staff Able to provide portfolio of learning in relation to knowledge & experience acquired whilst completing Nursing Associate trainee Evidence of time management skills and ability to prioritise workload according to patient need Able to demonstrate working on own initiative within set boundaries

Desirable

Evidence of IT skills, including use of PC, IPads & other associated IT equipment
