Successful applicants will join an established paediatric nursing team in the Emergency Department, as they move forward to provide a 24-hour paediatric nursing service. This is a fully rotational post, and will be a shift pattern of days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Vacancies for 6 Month for Paediatric Band 5 Staff Nurses An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team. We have a full time 6 month secondment post available.

Successful applicants will join an established paediatric nursing team in the Emergency Department, as they move forward to provide a 24-hour paediatric nursing service. This is a rotational post, and will be a shift pattern of days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Blackpool has an extremely busy Emergency Department, treating patients who present with a variety of health care needs. The learning and development opportunities are vast. We consider the Department to be an innovative and creative environment for those nurses pursuing a career in Emergency nursing.

You must, o Be a Registered Paediatric Nurse, or a Student Nurse with an interest in this area.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential

Registered Paediatric Nurse

Desirable

Student supervisor/assessor training PILS, EPALS/APLS

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Essential

Ability to teach peers within clinical area Evidence of continuous professional development Safeguarding level 3 awareness

Experience of team and ward management Safeguarding level 3 training
