Engineer-Facade @ DAMAC Properties

The Engineer – Façade is responsible for coordinating and monitoring façade engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and quality activities across assigned projects from a Client/Developer perspective. The role ensures façade works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, authority regulations, health and safety requirements, and approved project schedules. The Engineer will work closely with consultants, contractors, specialist façade subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate façade engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved project programmes. • Monitor façade progress against project schedules and identify potential delays or risks affecting project delivery. • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to facilitate timely resolution of technical and construction issues. • Assist in tracking project milestones and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager. • Support project planning activities and monitor contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle. • Review façade shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, mock-ups, and method statements for compliance with project specifications. • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, façade consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure proper design integration. • Review façade interfaces with structural works, waterproofing systems, glazing, architectural finishes, BMU systems, and MEP services. • Assist in resolving design clashes and technical issues during design development and construction. • Ensure façade systems comply with approved specifications, authority regulations, and applicable international standards. • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor façade installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards. • Monitor workmanship, installation quality, construction methodology, and adherence to approved method statements. • Coordinate inspections with consultants and QA/QC teams to ensure timely approvals. • Verify that façade installation activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and approved schedules. • Report construction issues and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related Engineering discipline. • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in façade engineering, façade construction, or building envelope systems within the construction or real estate development industry. • Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments is preferred. • Experience working with Developers, Main Contractors, or Specialist Façade Contractors. • Good understanding of façade procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and handover processes. • Knowledge of curtain wall systems, unitized façades, stick systems, aluminium systems, glazing, stone cladding, metal cladding, GRC/GFRC, and other building envelope systems. • Understanding of façade interfaces with structural, architectural, waterproofing, and MEP works. • Familiarity with UAE building regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements, Civil Defence regulations, and international façade standards. • Ability to review technical drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. • Good knowledge of façade installation methodologies, quality control procedures, and testing requirements. • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software. Knowledge of BIM/Revit will be an advantage.
