Recruiter 1This role focuses on high-volume, top-of-funnel recruiting and sourcing across a variety of job families, including non-technical and technical roles such as hardware, data engineering, and software development. The recruiter identifies and engages passive candidates, conducts initial screens, coordinates assessments and business interviews, and supports candidates throughout the process. The position operates within an experimental, agile recruiting project designed to quickly respond to pockets of hiring demand, working under established guidelines and immediate supervision while collaborating closely with other recruiting professionals.Responsibilities
• Recruit, source, and attract candidates for a wide range of roles, including non-technical, hardware, data engineering, and software development positions. • Focus on top-of-funnel activities, including proactive outreach to passive candidates rather than relying solely on inbound applicants. • Conduct candidate outreach through various channels to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for multiple job families. • Perform initial phone screens to assess candidate fit, interest, and qualifications for open roles. • Set up candidate assessments and business phone screens, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on scheduling and expectations. • Prepare candidates for interviews by providing clear information about the process, timelines, and expectations. • Check references as needed and support offer processes in alignment with established guidelines and policies. • Conduct orientation activities for new employees when required and support changes in employee status. • Perform exit interviews and process related documentation in accordance with standard procedures. • Use internal applicant tracking systems (ATS) and tools to track candidate progress, update records, and maintain accurate reporting. • Generate and maintain reports on recruiting activity, pipeline status, and performance metrics using Excel and other reporting tools. • Meet weekly and monthly targets for candidate outreach, pipeline generation, and other productivity metrics. • Collaborate closely with recruiting peers, including corporate recruiters and other talent acquisition professionals, to share insights and best practices. • Interact with recruiting management in the teams being supported to understand hiring needs and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions, escalating issues and seeking guidance when needed. • Deliver results in a fast-paced, data-oriented, goal-driven environment while upholding high standards in candidate experience and hiring quality. • Participate in team meetings and training sessions, including a formal recruiter ramp training program, to continuously improve skills and performance. • Contribute to the success of an experimental agile recruiting project by quickly pivoting to new priorities and supporting emerging pockets of demand. Essential Skills
• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in a relevant field. • 3–5 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, with a strong emphasis on sourcing. • Proven experience in passive candidate recruiting, including identifying, engaging, and converting candidates who are not actively applying. • Demonstrated ability to fill niche and higher-complexity roles rather than only processing inbound applicants. • Experience with high-volume recruiting and the ability to deliver a large number of qualified candidates within tight timeframes. • Technical sourcing experience, particularly for roles in technology or corporate environments. • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related recruiting technologies. • Strong Excel skills for tracking activity, managing data, and producing reports. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders clearly and professionally. • Comfort working with data and metrics, including weekly and monthly productivity and performance targets. • Ability to work under immediate supervision, following established processes, guidelines, and leadership principles focused on delivering results and maintaining high standards. • Experience in tech or Fortune 500 environments, or agency recruiting experience that translates well to high-demand corporate settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as human resources, business, or a similar field. • Experience in both corporate and agency recruiting environments is highly valued. • Experience in technical sourcing for corporate technology roles is preferred. • Familiarity with advanced internal AI tools and recruiting technologies is beneficial. • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven, goal-oriented recruiting teams. • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including peers and recruiting management across different teams. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple requisitions and candidate pipelines. • Comfort operating within an experimental or agile project structure and adapting quickly to shifting priorities. • Prior experience as a recruiter within large, complex organizations is a plus. • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. Work EnvironmentThis position is 100% onsite in Austin and is part of an experimental, agile recruiting project within a larger organization. The team culture is fast-paced, data-oriented, and strongly focused on goals and productivity, with clearly defined weekly and monthly metrics. The role operates under immediate supervision, with access to recruiter ramp training and approximately one week of structured onboarding. Recruiters collaborate closely with onsite recruiting peers and management and may support multiple job families across non-technical and technical domains. The environment offers exposure to advanced internal AI tools and specialized recruiter technologies, creating a modern and engaging workspace. Work is conducted during standard business days, and the role is not required to work on holidays. Dress code and daily routines align with a professional corporate office setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
