About this role
The faculty physician will work as part of a team to facilitate excellent patient care, superior teaching and impactful research. Faculty are responsible for advancing this tripartite mission by performing all duties, functions and tasks related to furthering these important goals.
• Care for patients on an 18-bed inpatient ward, 55 bed newborn nursery, and outpatient acute care clinic.
• Provide educational conferences for residents, faculty, and students to include grand rounds, journal clubs, noon conferences, medical student lectures, board review sessions and others.
• Mentor medical students, APPs, PHM fellows and residents.
• Provide clinical supervision for students and residents in the 3 clinical venues above.
• Encourage and support residents in scholarly activities including abstract submission, poster presentation, oral presentation and case report publication.
• Establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship.
• Participate in assigned committee work including quality improvement, peer review, medical education or others.
• Work as a part of the larger team to improve access, reduce cost, improve quality and promote efficiency and better health outcomes.
• Ensure timely and complete documentation.
