Management Technician (Readvertisement)
Summary: Performs paraprofessional work in a specialized area.
Qualifications: Required
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate. • Two (2) years of experience in a related field, some at a level requiring independent judgment. • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, and policies of the assigned office. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of independence. • Ability to operate a personal computer and related equipment to process, develop, analyze, and create data.
Major Duties/Essential Functions: • Provides general assistance to a program manager or one or more specialists and is assigned section- or office-wide technical duties within the field of specialty. • Relieves program manager or specialists of routine and repetitive technical tasks; reviews and processes documents, forms, and maintains records of said action processing. • Gathers, tabulates, and categorizes data for reports. • Utilizes available computer technology to accomplish tasks. • Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements: This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
