Graduate Research Assistant

Job Description: 70% - Assist faculty participants in CTE programs with producing course-level posters and portfolios to make work on their courses public.

20% - Provide support for project evaluation.

10% - Assist with developing resources and programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants.

Required Qualifications: • Must be properly enrolled as a graduate student and in good academic standing at the University of Kansas. • Successful teaching experience in higher education, as evidenced by application materials. • Excellent communication skills, as evidenced by application materials. • Prior work experience that required working independently and in an organized and professional manner, as evidenced by application materials.

Preferred Qualifications: • Background in the scholarship of teaching and learning and in evaluation of student learning, as evidenced by application materials. • Demonstrated project management skills, as evidenced by application materials. • 2026-2027 Federal Work Study award.

Position Overview: The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) invites graduate students with experience in teaching in higher education to apply for a Graduate Research Assistant position to assist with the development, promotion, and evaluation of professional development programming for Graduate Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students.

Note: This GRA position is .20 FTE, 8 hours per week. Tuition support is NOT available. This is a salaried position.
