Technical Coordination at APG to support site-wide warehouse operations and environmental compliance requirements.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Possible Tasks within this Role</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Warehouse &amp; Shipping Operations (30%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate warehouse and shipping/receiving activities</li> <li>Assign and monitor daily workload for warehouse personnel</li> <li>Ensure compliance with shipping standards and documentation requirements</li> <li>Support inbound and outbound logistics (domestic and international)</li> <li>Manage vehicle logistics including inspections, packaging, and transport documentation</li> <li>Act as a primary point of contact to support Technical Coordination with requested logistic support for summer testing groups by ensuring timely staging and delivery</li> <li>Ensure proper handling and movement of materials and equipment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Hazardous Materials Logistics &amp; Control (30%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the safe handling, labelling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory regulations</li> <li>Oversee chemical, fuel, oil, coolant, and waste material inventory systems</li> <li>Ensure proper labelling, storage, recycling, segregation, and disposal of hazardous waste streams</li> <li>Arrange disposal logistics for tires, scrap metal, trash, and test vehicles</li> <li>Ensure proper storage and handling of Li-Ion batteries and specialty materials</li> <li>Maintain accurate documentation and records of hazardous material movement, usage, and disposal, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Fuel Logistics Support (20%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Schedule and oversee fuel and oil deliveries, including allocation of supplies, in alignment with testing department requests</li> <li>Coordinate specialty fuel requirements with test groups</li> <li>Maintain fuel usage and delivery documentation</li> <li>Assist with towing or movement of test vehicles as needed</li> <li>Support logistics coordination for test operations and materials</li> <li>Coordinate equipment and system readiness for operational requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Environmental &amp; Compliance Support (Field Coordination) (20%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support SPCC inspections and site compliance checks</li> <li>Assist with environmental sampling activities (water, air, dust control support)</li> <li>Support regulatory compliance activities related to hazardous materials handling</li> <li>Assist with operational documentation required for environmental reporting</li> <li>Collaborate with EHS to maintain a safe working environment and ensure employee training compliance.</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualification Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">High School Diploma required</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">4-6+ years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or hazmat logistics </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hazardous material handling and /or shipping and receiving hazardous material</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Familiarity with OSHA standards, International Fire Code, DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulations </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Requires knowledge and experience using computers including proficiency with Microsoft Office</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">HAZWOPER (24 hr required within 1 year) </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">DOT/IATA Hazmat Certification (required within 1 year) </span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">EPA Method 9 (preferred depending on site assignment)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Forklift certification / forklift operation experience </span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred</li> <li>Prior hazardous materials handling experience</li> <li>Experience in industrial or environmental field work</li> <li>Familiarity with DOT and IATA hazardous materials regulations</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skills</b></H2> </div><ul style="margin-top:0.0;margin-bottom:0.0"></ul></div></div><p>Volkswagen Group of America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
