TCX INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT As manager of The Currency Exchange Fund (TCX or the Fund) Job title: Assistant Vice President - Financial Risk Governance & Controls Reporting line: Head of Financial Risk Background: TCX is an impact-focused fund working in the space of development finance. TCX's mission is to protect borrowers in developing countries by taking on currency risk that comes with hard currency financing. The Fund offers financial instruments to hedge currency risk exposure (cross-currency swaps and forwards) when there are no or insufficient commercial alternatives available. Since its inception in 2007, TCX has de-risked over USD 15 billion in development lending. The Fund is going through an exciting expansion phase as the demand for currency risk protection is growing, the investor base is broadening, and innovative activities are developed. The Fund is managed by a relatively small, motivated and international team based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Primary responsibilities: The (A)VP will own the financial risk control framework end-to-end: maintaining the RCSA, keeping risk policies and procedures up to date, ensuring alignment with regulation (AIFMD), and acting as the key point of contact for internal and external audits. This role sits at the center of TCX's risk governance, working alongside financial risk oversight of market/credit/liquidity/capital exposures. The (A)VP may also participate in risk committees and cross departmental new product(s) development. Core governance & control responsibilities: • Own and maintain the RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) for financial risk, in collaboration with non-financial risk colleagues • Draft, review, and keep financial risk policies, procedures, and manuals up to date • Ensure the financial risk framework remains aligned with regulatory requirements (notably AIFMD) • Act as primary liaison for internal/external audits covering financial risk; drive reme...
