About this role
As a Mechanical Technician, you work in the utilities (support systems) domain. The core responsibilities are similar to other technical roles, but the area of focus differs. As a technician, you are responsible for ensuring the continuity of preventive and corrective maintenance. This includes working on utility installations that support production, such as water treatment systems, HVAC systems, gas installations, and more. In this role, you collaborate with various departments to effectively solve problems and ensure a seamless production process. Responsibilities: Perform corrective, curative, and preventive maintenance activities Report and coordinate maintenance activities that require downtime Carry out assembly, disassembly, overhauls, and modifications on machines and installations Read, interpret, follow up on, and draft work instructions Perform preparatory tasks such as reviewing projects and instructions Monitor calibration schedules of measuring equipment and report accordingly Work with computer systems and machine controls according to company procedures Record and maintain maintenance activities in systems, registers, and reports Properly hand over ongoing and completed work Share knowledge and train colleagues Manage and transport materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance, ensuring correct and safe use Contribute to continuous improvement processes and efficiency projects Carry out water and infrastructure works for projects A diploma in a technical field (with a specialization in mechanics) Strong mechanical skills Several years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role, ideally within a production or industrial environment Strong mechanical knowledge, with expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machines Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, department managers, and external suppliers The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments and teams Mechanical Utilities Technician You have basic knowledge of HVAC systems You are willing to work in a day shift
