Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician. Metal building assembly/assembler. Airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance technology/technician. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Aircraft manufacturing. Tasks: Complete detailed inspection documentation. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and subassemblies. Inspect aircraft assemblies for adherence to engineering specifications. Inspect assemblies for alignment, symmetry, dimensions, fit and quality of workmanship. Perform and document routine maintenance. Troubleshoot aircraft structural systems. Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures. Weather forecasting experience: Aviation.
