CAI Business Units and the Markets We Serve

CAI Software is organized into three business units - Graphic Communications, Process Manufacturing, and Discrete Manufacturing – aligned to the markets we serve. This structure allows our teams to stay close to customer needs while operating with the scale and support of a global software company.

This role is part of our Shared Services team which includes the functions that support CAI business units. This model enables deep industry focus at the BU level while benefiting from the scale, expertise, and stability of one unified organization—allowing CAI Software to deliver specialized solutions

About the Role

CAI Software is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our team in Norway. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced software environment.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close for relevant group companies.

• Act as primary finance liaison toward the group leadership, including reporting, intercompany coordination, and participation in group-wide projects

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with local Norwegian GAAP requirements.

• Assist the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to set and track financial targets.

• Report and monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability.

• Ensure full compliance with Norwegian tax regulations, VAT requirements, and statutory reporting obligations.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial institutions.

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.

• Provide financial analysis and business partnering support to senior management to inform strategic decisions.

• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within the finance function.

• Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

• Manage intercompany accounting, group consolidation, and elimination processes across multiple legal entities

• Own transfer pricing and intercompany pricing structures, including IP licensing arrangements between group entities, in coordination with internal tax resources and external advisors

• Lead and coordinate the company's obligations under the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven), including annual risk assessment, public statement, and supplier due diligence

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within the software or technology sector.

• Strong knowledge of Norwegian accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Visma).

• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Statsautorisert revisor or equivalent).

• Experience working in an international or multi-entity software company.

• Familiarity with SaaS business models and revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15).

• Experience with ERP implementation or system migration projects.
