BI/SQL Administrator @ Lawforall

🔍 We’re looking for a Business Intelligence / Sequel Administrator in our Cape Town Office who will be responsible for reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, and ad hoc data requests across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large reporting workload, that includes end to end projects transforming business requirements into actionable insights.

This role requires an understanding of the corporate environment and business reporting, advanced analytical skills, and experience across the Microsoft data and BI stack.

📝MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

✅Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or equivalent work experience.

✅Have atleast 60% for higher grade/pure mathematics in Matric.

✅Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Data, or SQL technologies are advantageous

✅Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

✅Excellent attention to detail

✅Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

✅Strong business acumen

✅Excellent communication and presentation skills

✅Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

💼 RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Duties, as set out below, is not limited to same, any reasonable request made by LAW for ALL or demands that the office might require will be the responsibility of the Legal Professional to comply with and/or attend to)

📌Own and manage the organization's reporting portfolio. Design, develop, maintain, and enhance operational, management, and executive reports.

📌Build and support interactive dashboards.

📌Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across all outputs.

📌Automate manual reporting processes wherever possible.

📌Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance drivers.

📌Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

📌Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.

📌Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues.

📌Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.

📌Create and maintain data models using best-practice BI methodologies

📌Implement measures, KPIs, and calculations using DAX

📌Gather reporting and analytics requirements from business stakeholders, in conjunction with the Project Manager.

📌Translate business needs into technical solutions.

📌Act as a trusted advisor for data-driven decision making
