Vacancy: Planner Location: Nilai, Seremban Mode: Full Time, Onsite

Key Responsibilities Replenishment Planning

• Analyse sales histories, forecast, demand to determine material requirements • Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long‑term material forecasts based on sales forecasts, production plans, and historical data. • Monitor stock level, lead times, safety stock, and planning parameters to ensure proper material signals. • Expedite or de‑expedite shipments based on changes in the demand. • Responsible for customers order review and develop 3 to 6 months planning based on updated sales forecast to ensure customer delivery requirements can be met, hence achieving departmental objectives • Responsible for effective material planning and follow up with related activities to ensure KPIs and objectives as to quality and performance standards are met

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels. • Convert sales forecasts and customer requirements into executable production schedules. • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changes, constraints, or disruptions.

Capacity & Resource Management

• Analyze production capacity, manpower, equipment availability, and material constraints. • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to optimize line utilization and throughput. • Identify capacity risks and propose mitigation plans proactively.

Inventory & Material Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. • Maintain optimal inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) to meet service levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence. • Maintain and adjust safety stock levels, reorder points, ABC classifications, and min-max settings. • Support inventory reviews and cycle counts as required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with Commercial, Customer Service, S&NOP, Production, Washoat, QA, Finance, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to manage demand changes and delivery commitments. • Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities clearly to production teams. • Participate in S&OP / S&OE meetings and provide planning inputs.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track and analyze production KPIs such as plan adherence, on-time delivery (OTD), capacity utilization, and inventory turns. • Prepare regular reports on production status, risks, and improvement opportunities. • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy and process efficiency.

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain accurate planning data in ERP / MRP systems. • Ensure BOMs, routings, lead times, and planning parameters are kept up to date. • Support system enhancements or planning process improvements. • Responsible to provide backup and resume responsibilities of Logistics and Supply Chain area when required to ensure department requirement and objectives are met

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. • 5–10 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment. • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). • The processes of supply chain management

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent planning, organization, and time management abilities. • Good communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proficient in Excel and data analysis. • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles is an advantage. • SAP and Power BI are added advantage
