About this role

Job Description Summary The Aeroderivative Services ITR Engineer executes complex projects and develops bid strategy, equipment offerings, and technical proposals for conversion, modification, and upgrades (CM&U) to GE Vernova’s aeroderivative installed fleet. This role spans the end-to-end ITR process (ITO + OTR), partnering with Sales, Commercial, Product Management, Sourcing, Project Management, customers, and suppliers. Travel to customer meetings, site surveys, and conferences may be required.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the recognized focal technical expert in CM&U Aero technologies, with a primary focus on electrical systems and design; lead the development of innovative analysis, design, and engineering concepts for aeroderivative CM&U electrical scope. • Act as Project Engineering Manager for complex Aero CM&U projects, overseeing technical execution from handover through end of GE Vernova contractual obligations; develop and execute project technical strategy to identify and mitigate risk. • Manage electrical scope across the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, schedule, cost, quality, risk, product cost, and reliability; develop and monitor the project engineering schedule and budget, supporting the PM in integrating all engineering deliverables into the overall project schedule with regular status reporting. • Produce complete design packages including models, assemblies, drawings, analyses, layouts, and BOMs, along with all required technical documentation; provide technical support for installation, startup, and commissioning activities; manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting quality standards and customer schedule commitments. • Adhere to GE Vernova policies and procedures, engineering standards, customer specifications, and applicable government and commercial standards. • Communicate and present technical data, analysis, and recommendations to key stakeholders and customers — including engineering management, product line management, project management, sourcing, and end customers — in internal reviews, user conferences, and technical/commercial sessions. • Provide technical and project leadership to peers through peer-to-peer training and knowledge sharing; apply lessons learned, customer feedback, and team insights to continuously improve engineering standards, processes, and tools; lead and contribute to a cross-functional program to develop, standardize, and maintain CM&U handbooks and standard technical write-ups. • Track industry, technology, and regulatory trends to identify and shape new CM&U offerings; collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and incorporate new technologies, systems, and components. • Create clear, accurate technical proposals for aeroderivative CM&Us, ensuring compatibility with unit configuration, customer requirements, GE Vernova design standards, and established quoting limits — coordinating with customers, regional teams, design teams, Product Services, and service shops; support site surveys and customer meetings to inform scoping and proposal development; own quality and on-time delivery for all assigned ITO proposals. • Partner with Sales to identify opportunities, engage customers, and respond to technical inquiries; develop and maintain practical sales tools — including design standards, handbooks, and one-pagers — to improve ITO responsiveness and equip the sales team.
