Candidates should
For the Professor and Associate Professor posts, hold a PhD degree in English language teaching or applied linguistics, with extensive experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in English language and/or linguistics and/or education. For the Assistant Professor, hold a PhD degree in English language teaching or applied linguistics, with some experience at least at undergraduate in English language and/or linguistics and/or education. For the Lecturer position, hold a Master degree in a Applied Linguistics or TESOL-related area. Have proven record of teaching excellence, and relevant experience in teaching IELTS, EAP, ESP and content-based courses at tertiary level. Have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
(Lecturer-Professor, depending on level of appointment) include:
teaching English for Academic Purposes courses (including IELTS) teaching language-related content courses designing language learning materials (curriculum development) hosting workshops and seminars on specific topics in English reviewing and revising administrative documents and publications tutoring and consultation administrative assignments completing other related work assigned by J-BJI.
