Within this environment, the Data Management specialists help ensure information across the domain is trusted, understood and managed appropriately. Partnering across a diverse stakeholder landscape, they support the stewardship of critical information assets, strengthen ownership and governance practices, protect customer information and maintain trust in how information is managed across the organisation.
As the bank's data capabilities continue to evolve, the team plays a critical role in safeguarding information assets, monitoring emerging governance risks and helping ensure information is managed in line with regulatory obligations and contemporary data protection best practice.
This is a collaborative and intellectually curious team where people partner across disciplines, balance strategic thinking with practical outcomes, and work on initiatives that have visibility and impact across the organisation.
Your Impact & Contribution As a Data Management Lead, you'll play a key role in strengthening how critical information is governed, protected and managed across Marketing & Corporate Affairs.
Working across a diverse stakeholder landscape, you'll partner with business leaders, process owners and technical teams to ensure information assets are appropriately governed, understood and managed in line with the bank's risk, compliance and regulatory obligations.
You'll contribute to the ongoing evolution of data management practices by identifying governance risks, uplifting controls and supporting initiatives that improve data quality, ownership, transparency and stewardship.
Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll help translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical and sustainable solutions that support business outcomes while maintaining strong governance standards.
Working at the intersection of business, technology and risk, you'll engage with stakeholders across the domain to strengthen data management capability, support compliance with enterprise frameworks and regulatory requirements, and help ensure customer information and critical data assets are managed responsibly throughout their lifecycle.
Your Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will:
• Bring experience in data management, data governance, data stewardship, information management, risk management or a related discipline. • Understand data governance concepts such as ownership, lineage, metadata, data quality, controls and critical data management. • Have experience interpreting and applying regulatory, privacy and risk management requirements within complex environments. • Can confidently engage and influence stakeholders across business, risk and technology functions. • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess processes, identify risks and recommend practical improvements. • Have the ability to translate complex technical, governance or regulatory concepts into clear and actionable business outcomes. • Bring exposure to governance and data management platforms such as Collibra, Alation or similar tools. • Have experience working with data technologies, analytical tools or data platforms that enable effective management and governance of information assets. • Thrive in environments that are evolving and enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
