Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to lead a newly refurbished care home in Swanage as the Registered Manager. Main duties of the job As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for championing choice, dignity, and person-centered care for every resident. You will review and adapt care plans, monitor and audit service quality, manage risk assessments and safeguarding practices, and lead your team with confidence on HR matters. You will also investigate safeguarding concerns, manage complaints, and ensure full regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on role that will allow you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of your residents.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Championing choice, dignity and personcentred care for every resident Reviewing and adapting care plans in partnership with residents, families, staff and professionals Monitoring and auditing service quality and acting swiftly on areas of improvement Managing risk assessments and safeguarding practices to keep residents safe Recruiting, inducting, mentoring and developing your team Leading with confidence on HR matters, including performance and conduct Ensuring effective staffing levels and robust contingency planning Investigating safeguarding concerns, managing complaints, and ensuring full regulatory compliance, including duty of candourAbout you

Youll need:
At least 12 months remaining on your Right to Work in the UK QCF Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) A management qualification (QCF level 4) or willingness to work towards it Previous registration in a residential service (preferable) Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and care home operations Exceptional leadership, coaching, and peoplemanagement skills Experience supporting vulnerable adults Fulltime availability (40 hours per week)This is your opportunity to take ownership of a newly refurbished care home, shape the culture from the ground up, and build something truly exceptional for your residents, your team and your career.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
You will need at least 12 months remaining on your Right to Work in the UK, a QCF Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), and a management qualification (QCF level 4) or willingness to work towards it. Previous registration in a residential service is preferred, along with strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and care home operations. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, as well as experience supporting vulnerable adults, are also required.
