About this role
The Senior Manager Technology - Microservices will be a key leader in our Mashreq Microservices. They will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for our technology solutions, particularly in the areas of BAW, Microservices, and API gateway. This role requires a strong understanding of the latest market trends and the ability to translate them into innovative, high-quality solutions that meet and exceed business expectations.
• Ideate, design, and deliver technology solutions that align with business goals and objectives. • Manage and lead a team of developers and ensure the successful implementation of projects within the defined schedule, budget, and scope. • Oversee the development and BAU operations, maintaining a focus on quality and compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies, and explore innovative solutions to enhance our technology stack. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team and with other departments. • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to enhance their skills and contributions. • Stay informed about industry trends, attend relevant conferences, and contribute to the growth of the technology community.
• A proven track record of leading and managing technology projects, particularly in the areas of BAW, Microservices, and API gateway. • Hands-on experience with BAW, Microservices, and DevOps, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. • A deep understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices. • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver successful projects. • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying updated with the latest technology trends. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) are an advantage. • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
