About this role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engine Programmer to design, develop, and optimize the core systems that power our game technology. You will play a key role in building high-performance, scalable engine systems that support multiple projects across multiple hardware platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in multiple systems and pipelines/workflows, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with gameplay programmers, artists, and designers.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement core game agnostic engine systems & toolsOptimize performance across CPU, GPU, disc access and memory for PC and console platformsDevelop and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable solutionsCollaborate with project department teams to support production needsProfile and debug complex performance bottlenecksWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeMentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviewsEvaluate and integrate third-party middleware when appropriateStay current with emerging technologies and industry best practicesCollaborate with other Gameloft developers around the world What you need to succeed:

7+ years of professional game development experience, with at least 3+ years focused on core technology development.Experience shipping at least two commercial game titles.Strong proficiency in C++ and low-level programming conceptsSolid understanding of computer architecture, memory management, and multithreadingStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.Experience working with modern game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity or proprietary engines).Proven experience optimizing performance-critical systemsFamiliarity with console development environments and constraintsStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsPerks & benefits:
