Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – R&D (Design)
Job Summary We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in a design-focused individual contributor role. This position is responsible for developing mechanical designs, creating engineering drawings and models, and supporting product development activities from concept through detailed design. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in GD&T, hydraulics and pneumatics, engineering calculations, and engineering design using CREO. Industry background can be flexible, as long as the candidate has solid mechanical design fundamentals and experience working in a structured engineering environment. Job Responsibilities
• Develop mechanical designs, components, and assemblies based on project and product requirements. • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and design documentation using CREO. • Apply GD&T accurately in engineering drawings to support fit, function, and manufacturability. • Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions, performance, and reliability. • Support design and integration of systems involving hydraulics and pneumatics. • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, testing, and project engineering. • Review and improve designs for functionality, reliability, cost, and ease of manufacture. • Support prototype build, testing, troubleshooting, and design updates. • Prepare technical documents including drawings, BOMs, calculations, and design reports. • Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design, product design, or R&D engineering. • Strong knowledge and practical application of GD&T.
