The Production Control Specialist ensures the timely delivery of components to keep production running smoothly at Metalsa's Hopkinsville facility. This role forecasts supplier requirements, validates cycle counts, reviews and places purchase orders, and analyzes inventory daily to catch potential problem parts before they impact the line. The Specialist tracks and maintains key data in QAD, monitors supplier performance, and works closely with suppliers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions or spot buys when needed. Success in this role requires QAD/ERP experience, a solid understanding of bills of material and MRP, and hands-on experience coordinating with OEMs, customers, and suppliers on new programs and engineering changes. Strong analytical skills, comfort working under pressure, and the flexibility to work overtime or be on call when production needs demand it round out the ideal candidate profile.
