Position: School Bus Driver (Full time and part time positions available)
Reports to: Director of Transportation
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Commercial driver's license.
• Good driving record.
• Complies with all state requirements.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide safe transportation of students to and from designated locations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Drives bus to transport student over specified route to and from school according to the time schedule.
• Assures safety of passengers.
• Complies with local traffic regulations.
• Keeps assigned bus clean.
• Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Employment Terms: Nine (9) month classified hourly contract

Occasional Requirements: Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 40 pounds.
Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
