About this role
Moulton-Udell Community School District is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and structured leader to head our High School Track & Field program for the upcoming 2027 season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in track and field disciplines (sprints, distance, jumps, and/or throws), a focus on athlete conditioning and injury prevention, and the ability to motivate student-athletes to achieve personal and team goals. Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily practices tailored to various track and field disciplines.
• Instruct athletes on proper technique, form, pacing, and safety across running and field events.
• Foster a positive team culture centered on sportsmanship, discipline, academic achievement, and hard work.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and school administration.
Qualifications
• Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with a Coaching Endorsement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of track and field technical skills and training methods.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
