Tiverton Public Schools – Tiverton, Rhode Island Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (Homebound Medical Instruction) Location: Student home setting within Tiverton, RI Position Type: Part-Time/Per Diem Start Date: Immediate Opening Position Summary Tiverton Public Schools is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to student receiving homebound medical instruction. The successful candidate will support student with communication needs through individualized, evidence-based interventions designed to promote progress toward IEP goals and continued access to educational programming. Essential Responsibilities *Provide direct speech-language therapy services to student receiving homebound instruction. *Conduct speech and language evaluations and reassessments as required. *Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals. *Collaborate with family, educators, related service providers, and medical professionals to support student success. *Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing documentation as applicable. *Participate in IEP Team meetings and provide recommendations regarding speech-language needs and services. *Consult with family and educational staff regarding communication strategies and supports. *Ensure compliance with IDEA, Rhode Island Department of Education regulations, and district procedures. Qualifications *Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. *Current Rhode Island licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. *Experience working with children with complex disabilities. *Knowledge of special education regulations, evaluation procedures, and IEP development. *Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications *Experience providing services in home-based, educational, or pediatric settings. *Experience supporting students with complex communication needs, developmental disabilities, hearing impairments, and/or medically fragile conditions. *Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. Compensation *Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications. *Flexible scheduling based on student needs and service requirements.
