QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED;
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred;
• At least three (3) years experience in public warehousing and/or materials management preferred;
• Clear and valid Texas Driver's License (Class B – CDL) with an acceptable driving record as established by the district preferred;
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills
• Proficient in operating a computer, calculator and other standard office equipment;
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Ability to manage personnel;
• Knowledgeable of United States Postal Service rules and Fingerprinting and badging regulations preferred;
• Physically able to operate 4,000 pound fork truck and battery-operated pallet jacks;
• Possess working knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures;
• Physically able to work in all environmental conditions.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 244 days SALARY: $76,329 (BA-5) Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervise, evaluate, and train employees in the distribution center/warehouse, mailroom and fingerprinting and badaging in their assigned duties.
• Direct and monitor employee work assignments.
• Assist with time/attendance records and approval for assigned employees and complete in the absence of the Director
• Ensure district compliance with United States Postal Services rules, Fingerprint and badging regulations.
• Coordinate deliveries and special deliveries as needed with vendors and various delivery agents.
• Supervise the receiving, inventory, storage and distribution of supplies, material and equipment.
• Assist the Director in the receiving and distribution of testing material.
• Coordinate with textbook and records manager for the receiving and delivery of textbooks.
• Assist with the receiving and distribution of furniture and equipment for new and existing buildings.
• Ensure orders are filled and delivered to all campuses and support facilities on a timely basis.
• Conduct a physical inventory semi-annually or as determined by the administration.
• Assist in the recommendation and selection of materials handling equipment.
• Operate forklift, pallet moving and other standard warehousing equipment in a safe manner.
• Become and remain knowledgeable of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD electronic purchasing and inventory management system.
• Support the Support Services Department with regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services and / or the Assistant Superintendent for Support Services.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding.
