About this role
The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking certified substitutes interested in substituting for the 2026-27 school year. We have 5 buildings where you may choose to substitute:
• Adel Elementary (Preschool - 1st Grade) • Meadow View Elementary (2nd - 4th Grade) • DeSoto Intermediate (5th - 6th Grade) • Middle School (7th - 8th Grade) • High School (9th - 12th Grade)
Essential Functions
• Delivers elementary school curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning • This position reports to the building principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned
Requirements
• Associates degree or 60 semester hours through a college or university (must provide official transcript) • Current Iowa License (teaching license, substitute license, or substitute authorization license) • For information on obtaining a license or authorization, please visit www.boee.iowa.gov
