About this role
Primary Function Maintain order and discipline on the school bus to ensure a safe and positive environment. Major Responsibilities
• Know and obey state and federal laws pertaining to school bus transportation.
• Work with the Driver to maintain proper care of the school bus, including bus cleanliness.
• Maintain a level of student discipline on the bus that allows the Driver to operate the bus in a safe manner at all times. Report all misbehavior to the Transportation Director.
• Assist students on and off the bus when necessary to provide for the safety of all students.
• Attend all in-service meetings as required for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
• Provide emergency health care when called upon by the Driver to ensure the safety of all students.
• Observe and follow all District policies at all times for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing the district's directives.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information in order to remain in compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a professional work environment.
• Cooperate with all drivers, mechanics, and administrators.
• Report to and perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director.
